PAA Summer Camp 2009

Classes and workshops are offered in many of the fine arts, including drawing, painting, photography, weaving, spinning, glass blowing, jewelry and more.

The Academy includes a wonderful gallery featuring works in all mediums by regional artists, award winning custom picture framing, working artists studios, an exhibit hall, a music stage and the Fiber C.A.F.E. (center for alternative fiber experience).

Peninsula's First Annual Plein Air Competition - Along the Crooked River - was held Saturday June 20^th and Sunday June 21^st. 2009. Please join us in this artistic event and help celebrate the wonder and beauty of the Cuyahoga Valley. An exhibit of the works created will run July 2 thru July 26, 2009, Thursdays thru Sundays, 11 am until 5 pm at Peninsula Art Academy (PAA). An Artists reception will be held at PAA on Thursday evening July 2, 2009, 5 to 7 pm.

The Sixth Annual Fiber CAFE fiber show will be held at the Peninsula Library from Saturday August 1st through Saturday, August 29th. Any media that uses or speaks to fiber is eligible for entry. Two categories are judged, functional and non-functional. Please note that there are increased award prizes this year. In each of the two categories, prizes of $75, $50 and $25 for first, second and third place will be awarded. Please click on the link for the entry form for additional details. registration form

In honor of the Enameling Societys annual convention, the Peninsula Art Academy offers the opportunity to show your work in a national enameling exhibit entitled Refraction/Reflection. Please create any interpretation of this theme. This show will be exhibited from August 1- Sept 12, 2009 at the Peninsula Art Academy Gallery in Peninsula, Ohio. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, August 1 from 5-8 at PAA. Entry fee is $25 for up to 3 works of art. Work is due by Tuesday, July 28; there will be cash awards. Registration Form
